Depending on where you live, biking can be dangerous. Either you’re in a congested city, where there are cars, other bikes, drunk people on scooters, pedestrians, etc. Many cities still aren’t bike friendly. Or, you’re in a smaller city or suburbs where moms in Yukon XLs and Dudebros in Range Rovers aren’t paying

I’m not upset at Trump for grifting, I’m upset at supporters for buying them to stick it to the libs.  They really do live in an separate reality, don’t they?

Offering a settlement or a judgement is a civil procedure tool to make a side bet. It works like this:

Small solace, but remember they tried to ban violent video games first. Banning video games was their go-to move.

This is the problem. A common refrain is that “the people voted for Brexit, they need to leave.

Fascism was spreading across Europe in the 1930s. In a few countries, the conservatives and liberals had to join forces to defeat Fascist as they knew it was undemocratic.

I’m curious what thoseother ways” are and how viable they are in schools with tight budgets?

Sadly, Labour is like the Democrats in that they have the better ideas, but their leadership, organization and the occasional foot in mouth from their leaders makes them a less effective opposition party.

Well is Trump is a textbook narcissist (and he is), he’s absolutely using money as a way to enforce her compliance with his demands. In keeping with the diagnosis, he’s rightly convinced Tiffany that she’ll have no success without him. Not because she is/isn’t smart (as he’s told her), but that her family is a giant

Trump Sr. believes in the “American style” suit- baggy, poorly tailored, etc., but monogramed to the ends of the earth.  Jr. largely follows that path, because of course he does. Jr. also has phantom lats, so he might get his suits cut for the size he thinks he is, not the size he really is.

Yes, the inspections, borders, etc. become targets for the IRA/UDA, or whatever the successor is.

Perhaps he meant that they weren’t “full” members of the EU- they retained their currency and some of their market independence, but were generally aligned with the EU.

It’s been drilled into our heads that we earn every penny of our salary (good or bad) based on how smart we are, how hard we work, etc. So, in their mind, they could have negotiated that same rate with the company as the union rate and pocketed the different.  It’s total BS, but...

With the right essentially having their own media arm, the lack of critical thinking in schools, and the ossification of “socialism is bad” the spectre of socialism has largely disappeared as a counterbalance.

They also fought accepting credit cards.

Guess what happens when you forsake labor peace, in order to get richer?

Not hedging their bets. It’s become clear they’re state TV. So much so, that they’re losing credibility with “rational conservatives” (i.e. I only care about low taxes and no regulations- conservatives).  So, they give the slightest amount of pushback to feign some level of independence.  In a few days, they’re back

Since the right feeds on outrage, there’s a continuing desire for more outlandish claims and conspiracy theories- it will be a race to the bottom, not some rational tiering of right wing news.

Agreed, he’s a center-right leaning company man. But since he gives the slightest amount of pushback to the more egregious claims, it creates this false sense of balance, while still absolutely on the GOP side of the house.
