They also fought accepting credit cards.

Guess what happens when you forsake labor peace, in order to get richer?

Not hedging their bets. It’s become clear they’re state TV. So much so, that they’re losing credibility with “rational conservatives” (i.e. I only care about low taxes and no regulations- conservatives).  So, they give the slightest amount of pushback to feign some level of independence.  In a few days, they’re back

Since the right feeds on outrage, there’s a continuing desire for more outlandish claims and conspiracy theories- it will be a race to the bottom, not some rational tiering of right wing news.

Agreed, he’s a center-right leaning company man. But since he gives the slightest amount of pushback to the more egregious claims, it creates this false sense of balance, while still absolutely on the GOP side of the house.

1. Strikes are illegal in Nevada- that’s some BS right there.

tl;dr Trump is a horrible person who would delete documents, alter them, fire Comey, accuse Comey of all sorts of crimes, etc. So, in anticipation of having to defend himself from all this shit, Comey kept a copy of those documents in a safe place, but in violation of FBI rules.

I think their goal was to decimate public transportation and traditional taxis by offering super cheap rides. Once those services were attenuated, they could raise prices. I also think they’re still pushing on driverless cars, but that’s a long term play.

...yet creates potentially crippling optics with the flag-humpers you’d like to court one year from now at election time.

The theory is that Boris is doing this as a part of “disaster economics.” Meaning, you manufacture a recession and then claim that solution to that recession is to privatize, sell off assets, reduce funding, etc.

Those on the periphery will get the usual think tank/lobbyist jobs.

Correct, but my point is that they assumed when they voted to remain, that UK/EU would reach a reasonable deal. It’s never safe to assume, but I guess they thought the UK would be rational.

Scotland voted to stay, but they likely assumed that there would be a deal in place, not just crashing out of the EU.

The amount of “norm breaking” Trump has engaged in, is truly astounding. All the norms and decorum that Pelosi and Schumer are so obsessed have been ignored.

Perdue pharma is a private company so I don’t have much information on their finances. But what’s $10B in terms of their profits over the the last 10+ years?

I’m guessing the Perdue family will escape with their yachts, cars, summer, winter and pied-a-terre homes in place and a hefty pile of cash to think about all

Both Scalias are/were vehemently anti-union.  Let’s see if those old white union members decide they want their faces eaten by a Leopard or not.

J&J stock is up because the damage award was lower than many were expecting.

That’s my point- Dems are bending over backwards to appeal to unions, who will give them some support, but individual union members probably still won’t vote for them. Their money and time can be better spent turning out their “true” base.

Getting the endorsement of a union is great in terms of PACs supporting you, funding, etc. So, it might get you slightly more than average votes from union members.

It’s a good point re: taxes. If their pensions were partially at risk from litigation, I wonder if they’d be as bellicose about it.
