Self Reply: Obviously, I meant your skin, but that sh*t is pretty potent....

You’re a race troll, but I’m curious about your views. So you pivoted from washing with a washcloth toblack crime’? Why did you feel that was so important? Do you feel that every conversation should be about ‘black crime?’ If so, why?

Get Dr Bronner’s Tea Tree oil if you want to sterilize yourself. That sh*t works wonders.

When cops fuck up they press charges for resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, or other vague charges.

Syringes generate about 100 PSI, but if I try to stab the road with one, it doesn’t destroy it like a superhero movie. Why is that?

Fair- What war did we recently win?

I think Biden is going to stop leaning left (like he ever really did) and establish himself as the “reasonable moderate” that’s been responsible for so much of our success over the last 40 years. /s

You’re correct- but those are all socialist hellholes, which are nothing like us, right? /s

Live in DC in a mostly gentrified neighborhood. We have the occasional “suspicious person” notifications, and stolen packages (sometimes they post video). But most crime posts are about gunshots. White people seem to think that any loud noise is a gunshot. I remember somebody set off a roman candle (whistle-pop) and a

Agreed. My comment was based on the unlikely assumption that they do want to move back towards center.

Perhaps they can, but there needs to be some reckoning with their past, which the US has never really done. Sorry for the Nazi reference, but Germany actually reckoned/owned their past and have tried to be a better global citizen as a result.

I’ll ignore the anti-capitalist, etc. as lite trolling.

Really well put.  I think they would rather be poor and feel superior to PoC, than rich and equal to them.

I honestly don’t think there is an easy path back for the GOP. Essentially, they need to either splinter or the Dems have to crush them so badly, that their existence depends on moving back to the right/ center-right (they’re far right now).

Biden is clinging to this outdated notion that if you’re nice to the Republicans, they’ll be reasonable with you, won’t flout the law, compromise, etc. The problem is that they’re happy to accept our compromises, but offer absolutely nothing in return. They also think that norms and decorum are for Democrats, not

I know- that’s my point. He calls himself Beto, GOP refuses to acknowledge that and they intentionally use his full name as a way to try to make seem more elitist.

I think that regular news should do something similar. Rather than, “Trump: Mueller terminated the emails,” it should be “(False Statement) Trump: Mueller terminated the emails.” Say that it’s false or misleading, but then report on it.

It’s the best shot we have if classic gerrymandering is OK, but racial gerrymandering is not. But you’re right that Roberts desperately searches for non-racial justifications, even when they say it’s about race.

That might be our only shot for a generation. If gerrymandering is heavily, racially influenced (it already is, but behind the veneer of political parties), a few courts might state and exception and overturn the more egregious gerrymanders on the basis of 14th Amendment.

I get your point, but the whole point of gerrymandering is to make it statistically impossible to win state houses, even if turnout is high. We’d need absolutely overwhelming turnout in most jurisdictions to overcome that.
