This doesn’t seem to control for death from unnatural causes. In poor neighborhoods, deaths from crime, drugs, etc. pulls down the average life expectancy. Both are tragedies and both need to be addressed.

I think the point of the article is that even black folks get that a democratic president that doesn’t help them is much better than Trump, who actively tries to harm them.

And yet, despite all that, he’s much better than Trump. I’ll hold my nose and vote for him.

Nah- that’s more Stephen Miller’s or Ted Cruz’s thing.   Hannity is more of the college dropout who’s parents kept pulling strings for him to get jobs as he failed upward.

Totally disagree- she needs to get top 20 in the haberdashery weeklies, and qualify for international funions circuit. That way, even if she gives a few spots on the east asia loop and twinkies (and she will- her slide is 3mm shorter on kaolin clay), she can easily breeze her way to the Buick double down.

He’s not great at acting, but gets a pass for being such a nice, normal guy.

If she started the impeachment process now, it would still be a tight timeline.  She’s trying to run out the clock.

Look at your state laws on PTO/sick/vacation payout. Some states allow employers to cap how much must be paid out. Other states require the company to pay every penny of PTO you have built up.

If you handle cash/funds, control critical parts of IT, or go to work for a competitor, expect to be shown the door quickly.

An impeachment inquiry would significantly remove some of the defenses that Trump presenting for not turning over documents, testifying, etc. As a part of a inquiry or impeachment, he would be forced to turn over that information. Even Trump appointed judges or SCOTUS wouldn’t block that information, since they know

My only hope is that she’s delaying the impeachment inquiry until closer to the election. But that’s a dangerous game too- you will be accused of using impeachment as a campaign technique and not playing fair. Sadly, that will resonate with a lot of ‘independent’ (if they exist) voters.

I’m OK with a special type of teacher with a lot of training in the use of force, guns and gun safety, can quickly get assistance, and is generally held to a higher standard.

I would call that teacher a “police officer.”

Wouldn’t it also mean that if they engage in a firefight with a shooter and hit other people (which is highly likely to happen), they could be held criminally liable?

Slightly off topic- but undercover boss is PR garbage. They present these CEOs as “just like us.” But when it comes to making a truly fundamental change at the company to help their employees, they decline. Instead, they reward the 1-2 people that were nice to them.

Baltimore is representative of the challenges facing a lot of cities that never fully recovered from an era of neglect.

But we love dictators will a similarly bad civil rights record, as long as they make deals with us for their oil, to build a base, etc.  The only reason we don’t like Cuba is that they say no to us.

#3 is key.  We’d save money in the long run, given our penchant for spending a few trillion every few years to fight an optional war for oil.

Or little under 1/2 of an Afghanistan and Iraq.
