GM doesn’t want the corvette GT3 in the US because it’s not a true factory program like the Cadillacs in Word Challenge or the Vettes in WeatherTech, which they spend tens of millions to be successful at.

Look if they wanna do this right, they need to make an AMG version and go after the Raptor. Now that would be cool
Im going to be a flag marshal at this event and staying in town with friends, we’ll try to cruise down there one night and say hi!
Balance of performance has nothing to do with this. They absolutely walked the Porsches and Toyotas during the first 3 hours of the race. Once the sun set, everything changed.
They were stellar all weekend too. I was flagging at turn 10 and really noticed how much faster they were than the other GTD cars. I was so happy because this would have been a giant middle finger to the whole GT3 “controversy”, I was gutted to hear someone announce over the control radio that the car had run out of…
I’ll be corner working at COTA with my father tomorrow and Saturday, should be a ton of fun! Cant wait.
4 Grand for a manual Saab wagon? INSTANT NP.
...But How cool would it be to take all the R&D data from this project and actually bring back the fiero?!?! This time just not a total POS.
I know I'm a lil late to the game, but the cayenne is quite the off-roader if you know what you're doing. Theres something so right about getting this car filthy
What did I just watch?
This is terrific.
Someone help me out. Why are they running such a small rim size? It’s gotta be due to class restrictions, right? I’m no stranger to race tires and get that they’re still running a pretty big tire, but the awkward tiny rim size limits the size of brakes they can run!
A fair point, I didn’t expect my half assed comment to generate this much response. For what it’s worth, I think the DeltaWing was a terrific proof of concept when it first came out. Ok, they showed that you could make a race car that actually performed with a non-traditional platform... But ok, what’s your point…
Am I the only one who thinks the DeltaWing is totally stupid? It was a stupid ugly unreliable race car to begin with, and now they’re trying to make it into a stupid ugly road car. Just let it die a peaceful death already...
oh man... I’ve got such a soft spot for old Volvo wagons (like most of the Jalops on here), but here in Austin I can find decent ones on CL for 3k all day long. Sure, this has been modded, but the paint needs serious TLC with all those rust spots.
I love that all these pictures are from Eagles Canyon. While I think its an amazing track, we don’t go there anymore because the racing surface is total crap for serious race cars. They went cheap on the asphalt when they built the track, and now its just falling apart. Not a problem for lemons cars, but we’ve snapped…
“sounds a bit like Rush”
I honestly got tricked by the bike sounds too when I watched it on FB... I just assumed it was some modified 4 banger and left it at that lol
My god. You can put 43 GRAND worth of options on this car.
I drive past this track every time I go to/from school in San Antonio and home in Houston. Ive actually done a few runs in my M5, but the surface wasn’t that great. But good god, SOMEONE PLEASE BUY THIS AND MAKE A ROAD COURSE. I’ll have a reason to stop in Sealy again.
