I voted nice price despite the little Indiana Jones in my head screaming, "It belongs in a museum!"

@rabbot: And the Angry Dome!
Lakeland, Florida still has the Silver Moon Drive In. It's a great experience in an old car. Sadly, as stated in this article, the modern vehicle doesn't support the drive-in experience.
@B-Sel: It's close enough, anyway.
@62imperialcrown: Nice catch. Gotta love those old toads.
@Vavavoom: I respectfully disagree. I switched my Valiant from the original factory 13" pizza cutters to 15" American Racing Vectors. No one thinks the originals looked better.
New Beetle
@armyofchuckness: Let's try this picture instead.
Besides letting them sit in an airtight bubble? Leaving them in a field to rot and claiming you're going to fix it up...someday. Bonus points for getting indignant with the kid that would dare ask if you'd be willing to sell your priceless jewel. They'll never appreciate it people like you did in the good ol' days.…
@Cheeseslap: Cheese ninja asassin for hire: Isn't it, though? I really wish the Slant craze in Australia would catch on over here.
@stuffelse: This is exactly why I love the Slant. There's so many impossible stories about how these little engines won't give up.
@numanair: I haven't seen one, but I wouldn't be too surprised.
The injured man, when given opportunity to speak to the driver, implored, "Why did you turn?"
As a '64 Valiant owner, I almost have to vote nice price out of solidarity, but I gave this one a lot of thought. $8,500 is a bit steep for a '64 A-body, but if the body is solid, the top is mechanically sound, and the disc brake conversion is solid, I would say it's worth it over trying to get those three things done…
@Maxx Cracker — sponsored by Peniston Oils: Make that two people solving Miami's crimes.
@Roberto G.: Not exactly the best analogy since he said it never saw rain "before [he] got it." Sounds like she's already been out walking the streets a bit, so it's not unreasonable to think that this would push the owner to take it to the next level. I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt that you misread…
Why did you turn...this car into a donk?
