The retractable hardtop is cool, but not 30 grand cool.

@Parramore64: Agreed. That much wasted history made me feel pain.

*jawdrop* What kind of adamantium did they use to make the driveshaft for this thing? It's hard to believe it's not a pretzel by the third run.

Yeah, that's about as awesome as a new car can get.

This video diary seems just a little basic for me.

This is one righteous Beetle! All it needs are raised white letters to complete the "I wish I had bought a Nova" look they were going for.

@Slantsick- on layaway at SPATULA CITY: I couldn't agree more. While I enjoyed my trial by fire learning experience in the '65 Beetle, when the opportunity came for me to have a rusty Valiant or a rusty Beetle, I looked at my dad and said, "Sorry, Dad, but I want a REAL car."

@timtoolman: I learned in a '65 Beetle. Great car as long as it didn't go above 62 miles an hour. Any higher and some crazy aerodynamics happened that left it skidding across the interstate. It also had nifty "weather hole" in the floor to tell me how wet the roads were.

1970 442 or 1969 Judge for me, please. I want something I'm not going to be scared to drive.

@Slantsick- on layaway at SPATULA CITY: I'm going to agree with you on this one. Much as I hate that people constantly approach my Valiant and ask, "What year is that thar Nova?" I will admit, the Nova was cool, and that 250 straight six was pretty impressive. I've heard tails of cops with souped up 250s that would

I can dig it, along with the Bristish-ized Leno.

It's certainly not a nice price, but it's even more certainly not a crackpipe price either. If it's a true, numbers matching, all original 426 Wedge car, it's worth a price that high to keep out the idiots that would want to rip the drivetrain out for a crate Hemi and a Hurst shifter. It'll go well in a private museum

Lance: Still got your RS4?

@grzydj: I fail at teh readingz.
