Word to the wise: Sonic has grilled cheese sandwiches on the menu.

Was this your dad?

Season 2 is not as good as Season 1, but it is weird in a way that I find interesting (the code switching mayor’s son, the quasi-telegraphed gay war thing, the performance of the mayor character and the heavy at the club, for instance). Also, I give them a bit of credit for the part at the end. The hacky thing to do

I just wanted to point out that NY strangely (like Maryland and D.C.) refers to its top appellate court as the Court of Appeals, so this opinion was issued not at “an early stage of appeal”, but actually by the state’s court of last resort. And a reading of the opinion seems to show that it got intermediate appeals

Looks like they’ve been dating graduates of the Eddie Murphy School of Mackery.

Now playing

I like Steph Curry, who certainly, even going back to his breakout tourney at Davidson, gives every indication of being a solid guy. But this clip always makes me doubt whether I should. But maybe he’s so sincere that the idea of making sure he looks sincere doesn’t even occur to him

Way too many of these stories include a manager who refuses to back his/her employees.

Sad factoid...the actor who played the, uh...cook at the diner Vito patronized killed himself in 2008 or so.

It continually amazes me that the Pick the Best Person Brigade never seems to care to do much examination of the culture, the process, or themselves for so often finding that a white person is the best.

When I watch old episodes I find myself wondering (mostly jokingly) if one commentary the show was trying to make was about the unavailability of good men in the ‘90s, as Elaine was so often into the bummiest dudes. If only I had been an adult TV character instead of a real life child in 90’s...

My favorite is the fact that Arya looks like L and J looks like Arya.

I saw Season 1 then read the books, so I didn’t have an untainted conception of the appearance of the primary characters like a lot of Sullied do. However, between being a Stark, a bastard, and eventually a leader in the Night’s Watch, Kit’s sullen mien feels right to me.

I don’t listen to much of this kind of (or really much of any new) music, but this would sound right at home on Haim’s “Days Are Gone” album. Good stuff.

Do you mean that she saw one of her actual children or that she saw her children in those kid wights, even though they were not actually her children?

I like Sam and Gilly (“Silly”?), but “more Sam and Gilly mouth-breathing scenes” is a hilarious phrase.

“The King of Queens” is one of my absolute favorite shows (legitimately well-written, well-acted, and quite funny), and I really enjoyed her in it. She had talent, a long and successful career, and long-lasting, seemingly deep romantic and familial love. It’s unfortunate that we all have to go, but she appears to have

And Chuck is usually considered to actually be somewhere in the 6’4-6’5 range.

Skipper laid the “We dumped HIM” stuff on pretty thick in his statement. The goal of getting far out ahead of Simmons was pretty heavy, so I’m not surprised.

This was funny (even if I don't understand hating curly fries).

Dolan does seem to be a pretty mean-spirited jerk, but I'd say it's pretty generous to call the criticisms "relatively mild-mannered".
