The 370Z is 3,278 lbs according to Nissan's official specs for 2015. That's the lightest in it's class (sub 30k, FR, >250hp). I wouldn't call it a "tad heavy".

I think it comes down to what you are looking for. The standouts here are the cayman s, the 135i and the challenger.
