Harvard and Radcliffe had many shared classes so I suppose a woman could have said she went to Harvard (for some of her classes). But in that time I would think Brianna would have thought of herself as a Radcliffe student, not a Harvard student. But I wasn't living in Boston at the time.
Radcliffe College was for women Harvard for men. They merged in 1977.
She said Harvard? THAT would have been a major mistake. Harvard didn't admit women until 1977. The other Ivy League schools didn't admit women until 1969. She couldn't have gone to Harvard.
I hated Brianna's lipstick. The girls I remember in 1968 wore very pale lipstick (if any).
Thanks for the review! It's odd all the complaints about Sophie Skelton playing Brianna in this episode. I thought Brianna in the books was a bratty 20-year-old know-it-all. I didn't like her at all. She didn't grow up and gain wisdom until book 4 or 5 (If I remember). I thought Ms. Skelton did a good job of…
Interesting point. But if Claire had never been there in that time - Jamie would have died at Wentworth or the monastery, and Black Jack would never had been wounded in the sword fight. His brother still would have been very sick, so maybe he would have decided on his own, or a minister or someone else would have…
There are other decent review sites. I've been lately following the GoldDerby site for their video reviews and also sometimes My Outlander Purgatory, although it gets a bit irritating at times.
I loved the part near the beginning – where Jamie said a prayer in Gaelic while Claire slept. It was the best part of the whole episode (for me).
This was a great episode showing the futility of war. There are good commanders who care about their people, and total idiots who are more about making themselves look good (I was in the US army and can attest to that). Andrew Gower plays the idiot Bonnie Prince commander brilliantly here.

I believe that was "Moch Sa Mhadainn" performed by Griogair Labhruidh aka GhettoCroft - the Jacobite anthem. Looking forward to the soundtrack for this season.
I definitely agree. All the nitpicking book fans are getting tiresome. Neither the TV series nor the books are perfect. I read the first 5 books and liked them overall, but some parts need to be changed. Some of the contrived plots were ridiculous. The last part of Voyager comes to mind. Also, Brianna's shrill …
