Eggs can depend on country of course. Here in the UK eggs are perfectly safe raw, but that can change country to country and I forget that.

So, in case people weren’t aware, the issue with raw cookie dough is not eggs, but raw flour. Eating raw flour can make you really sick, as certain bacteria frickin’ love living in flour.

Why would it be unsafe?

So, I was surprised by the complaint, but that is because that particular sign is very common around Britain (I’ve seen it in numerous pubs and shops over the years). Usually you point it out to parents and everyone has a good laugh.
