I use 4 tea bags and brew it over a stove for 15 minutes. It almost feels like it coats your ribs on the way down. Milk and sugar of course.

I would imagine you are talking about black pudding, which is delicious, and not unheard of in America, so it can't be that awful. Not much different from intestine filled up with the animal's own ground up flesh... or a Sausage, as it is more commonly known.
