Don’t start this you poor fool! There are very angry people out there spending a considerable amount of time to prove that people’s understanding of the word “sequel” is entirely flawed and that BZ was not a sequel goddammit, even though colloquially, yes it was a sequel.

I’m guessing that’s why it’s called Subnautica 2 so they’re at least trying to convey the message that they’re making an entirely new game rather than one built on top of the previous like BZ (which wasn’t super liked). We’ll have to see if the actual game follows through.

They’re trying to get away from the team based philosophy. They want flashy action with solo carries being able to do incredible stuff instead of relying on a team I think.

I don’t see the issue with devs swapping genres. I think a lot of studios have done so successfully. But yeah if it’s motivated by the executives, it’s probably not gonna turn out well.

Star Citizen is super interesting to play right now imo, I don’t play it often but I love it every time. There’s no need to wait for a possible vaporware, hell I had gotten my money’s worth over half a decade ago.

There’s also a mod for that. At least one, although the one I have also converts in km/h on top of displaying the real speed, but I’m sure there are others.

Most modders I’m following on Nexus switched to Starfield for about a couple of weeks but have all gone back to Skyrim, I haven’t seen a new Starfield mod in my notifications in weeks and I follow quite a few modders.

Most anticipated is definitely Hades 2 although I don’t think it’s gonna come in 2024. I see it more as a 2025 release. And I’m almost certain I’m not playing early access. I don’t think it needs elaborating why, the first Hades was about as close to perfection as any game I’ve ever played.
