I actually love a good procedural but these shows with their rooms full of computer nerds solving every crime by use of conveniently-placed security cameras and instant-result DNA tests are not what I think of as procedurals.  Give me Blue Bloods any day.

The Pumpkin Festival in Keene, NH, was cancelled and eventually moved to Laconia after a literal riot broke out at nearby Keene State College, even though, but for timing, the riot had nothing to do with the festival. It has been revived on a much smaller scale but anyone making the trip should still have a good time.

Every now and then, I start to watch it based on my thought that maybe another viewing will show me what I’ve been missing. Unfortunately, I always come away with a hardening of my belief that Will Ferrell just isn’t funny.

Those polls, if you really follow the news, have also been exposed as inappropriately weighted towards Republican groups.

It doesn’t help that so many media outlets decided that they had to dismiss any reporting on his real record as soon as he declared his candidacy, thereby normalizing him.

These polls have already been shown to have over-sampled Republican demographic groups and dismissed the impact of younger voters.  They weren’t legitimate and weren’t legitimately reported.  The NYT should be ashamed.

Pence, known in his Congressional days as “Congressman Dense,” was all but washed up when Trump decided he was Veep material. This is just the natural progression. It is funny that he can’t even get any traction in Iowa.  The whole “Mother” thing comes from his peculiar branch of Jeebusism, in which “mother” is…

I like AOC for voicing progressive principles. She is, however, the beneficiary of a very liberal district. I doubt she could win a state-wide election in NY State and anyone seriously proposing her for national office has no place in an adult conversation.

I found the marriage creepy, too, but I’ve since found that it was a case of two people from rural (VERY rural) Quebec roots genuinely falling in love over their mutual distaste for and distrust of the milieu in which they had to work. They took good care of each other.
