I enjoyed this article and you said what I wanted to say better than I could have. I was thinking how to phrase a reply to that post (and ultimately decided not to because I couldn’t convey what I wanted to convey) because I do love this country, while acknowledging that much of what was said the other day was true.

Not having it really sucks for those who physically can’t hear it though, either because of obligations or because of physical disabilities, or because of other circumstances. And there are things you can do to transcripts to better convey tone.
