Yeah, it’s pretty tragic when superstition trumps best medical practice.

Old white woman here. And will lead the charge and advocate for access to safe, legal abortion as long as I able because I remember when it wasn’t. I remember the days before the pill when women had to go before a judge for permission to have a tubal ligation to prevent further pregnancies and the judge had the power…
You’re being attacked cause you’re full of shit. So full that even the toilet got jealous
Are you confusing mammograms with pap smears? Because PP certainly caught my precancerous cervical cells with one of those.
They do, but they cost a fortune. I got my vasectomy at Planned Parenthood. Cost only $50. At a hospital it would be at least a $1000. I was uninsured because I was self employed, which often means no insurance because it can easily run $400 per month for a basic plan. Now with the ACA I can get decent affordable…
Evil abortion haver here. I can’t speak for everyone, but in Austin, TX - every hospital in town is religiously affiliated.
No you don't. No pity whatever.
That’s the proof that it isn’t about being against abortion but about controlling women. If all this pearl clutching that they claim is about abortion were actually about abortion then these people would be the biggest advocates every for free accessible birth control. It is, after all, the most effective way to…
Because abortion isn’t now, nor has it ever been about the babies. It’s about punishing women for having sex without society’s permission.
At every turn the GOP hurts American people—Vote this party out of existance
That’s the thing that is so infuriating about all these religious extremists who will fight tooth and nail for the rights of a fetus, but not the rights of actual children and mothers who have to survive outside the womb and in a world of $7.25 minimum wage with rising costs of living. The lack of compassion from such…
Collex, the people I see at the anti-abortion rallies outside our local PP office (which doesn’t even do abortions) are mostly older men with a few young women mixed in. Most of the older women I know are pro-choice because they remember the days when abortion was illegal.
Reading through the transcript, I felt rather badly for the judge. What a bunch of idiots he’s dealing with. At least he seems to recognize the blatancy of their bullshit.
Hospitals can do all these things in the US, but they are not the first point of care for anything non-urgent. I had an abortion at a regular hospital, paid for by my (excellent) health insurance, but the initial consultation and referral went through my gynecologist at her regular practice. If I hadn’t had that…
Oh, and btw, if you actually care about facts, here are a few (with links!).
The National Cancer Institute says you’re full of shit.
The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology agrees.
The American Cancer Society sings a similar tune.
Science-Based Medicine outlines 17 studies, including two that covered more than…
I’m not gonna bother casting you as a villainous buffoon who’s wrong about everything... You’ve done that plenty well yourself by vocally liking The Amazing Spider-Man movies.
I’m just gonna ask - do you think science is just a matter of opinion? When you trot out the oft-repeated, but nonetheless repeatedly debunked…
Well, I guess I’m donating to PP for the second time today. You’ve been a great help to them, good job!
People are mocking you because your ‘facts’ are manipulated misleading propaganda. So, the opposite of facts. Yea no shit Planned Parenthood doesn’t do mammograms ... no one EVER said they did except those trying to stir up the defund PP crowd. For breast cancer prevention what they do is screenings, and will refer…
PP caters a lot to uninsured or underinsured people who would not be treated by hospitals, because they would not be able to pay.
Don’t forget the religiously affiliated hospitals. Some don’t even offer morning after pills.
