SJWs are fairly criticized for pursuing an infinite number of grievances of an increasingly small scale. Racism, sexism is awful and immoral. Insensitive language can be hurtful and impolite. But the extreme to which SJWs want to turn any jostle or bump from a social interaction into a hate crime. There is a point

It's a lazy allusion to an Internet meme. I'd roll my eyes if he said "DO NOT WANT" or any other silly meme. Just a critique of this article. One man's opinion.

I would not object to "he didn't give a fuck." "No more fucks to give" is clearly invoking an Internet meme. I find that use a cheap attempt at humor and lazy writing. Just my opinion.

"…no fucks left to give" — This is lazy writing. Incorporating an internet meme into a piece is the worst form of cliché.

I hated this movie as a highschooler, but love it as an adult. It really captures what it's like to be a kid. Wanting something so badly, and then getting it. Nothing beats that feeling. This review is awesome.

Thought the same thing. This essay took all the fun out of this song. Waaaaay too overthought.

I remember my parents cracking up when Roseanne intentionally sent the water bill check to the electric company and vice versa to have a legit enough excuse to get an extra month to pay. My parents actually did that once. I guess it worked.

If you are getting an allowance at 26, you are overprivileged.

Yes. Hank Hill isn't loaded, but he's not struggling. In Roseanne, they are *struggling*. That's what working class is really like.

Amen! Roseanne was realistic—size of house. Kids sharing a room. One phone. First floor bedroom. Crappy furniture. It is so realistic. Malcolm in the Middle too. Another great one on this score is Rock. I wish shows would reflect working America.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I appreciate your perspective. But I think the response would be, when all is said and done, it's worth suffering the microaggressions and discrimination in order to avail oneself to the benefits of the U.S./EU. People vote with their feet. To quote Milton Friedman, it's not

It's definitely a demotion.

They got this all screwed up: Works on contingency? No, money down!

Colbert has a tough row to hoe with conservatives. Unfortunately, modern "mainstream" conservative America is virulently anti-intellectual. Throwing a few bones to conservative sensibilities will not save Colbert from the 30% of America in the Fox News/talk radio echo chamber. (Look at the Pope. Conservatives rail

Regina Spektor's "Laughing With" hit me like a sledgehammer to the chest. It is the most sincere and beautiful work about the existence/non-existence of God. The first time I heard it I had to pull over.

Everyone knows that Mr. Jones represents the Illuminati, which coopted the cultural revolution to serve the nefarious plans of the international political/financial elite. — Alex Jones

I'm much more conservative now than when I was in college (2001-2005), but I loved and still love Jon Stewart. It's easy to remember how he was the lone voice of reason during the Bush years. He was the only person with the courage to think critically during that fearful era. His show remained at high quality for

Lovely. Thanks for sharing.
