Ukraine itself has been able to have more honest discussions about the Azov part of WW2 history. At the time, Ukraine was caught in the same trap as Finland: accept help from Berlin or be brutally crushed by Moscow. Both accepted the devil that they didn’t know over the devil that they knew.

The “the victim of my favorite aggressor country is the true Nazi” has been a context-free ploy for some time. In this case, Putin’s been wanting to “reunite” the Soviet Union for a long time. But without any of that pesky “providing for the people” part of communism.

I have always thought highly of Dr. West but all a 3rd party run can do is siphon off progressive voters to the benefit of whichever right wing nutjob the Republicans choose to run for president.

That’s actually been a major problem with any 3rd party run... they simply think that showing up for a presidential election, without having established any bonafides on any local or state level anywhere, is going to work very well.  All it ever does when run like that is to torpedo one side or the other by drawing in…
