I mean, he absolutely would be better than Abbott. At the very least I imagine McConaughey would be cool with letting Austin introduce a mask mandate instead of literally making it illegal.

Several people will attempt to give him write-in votes, until they realise they can’t remember how to spell “McConaughey” off the top of their heads.

Politicians like Abbott, Trump, Cruz and essentially every other Republican get elected because they racist, misogynist, greedy fucking assholes.

Right? What exactly are the qualifications of the current people in power, other than being racist, misogynist, greedy fucking assholes?

As insane as it sounds, he couldn’t possibly been worse than Greg Abbott.

Did we? Don’t get me wrong McConaughey is a dolt who has no business being in government but I'd still take him in a heartbeat over Abbott or West who will win against any of the people we field

Well McConaughey can’t be any worse than the current governor of that state.

I was ready to love inherent vice and had so much trouble actually watching it, let alone following it. The master is my favourite. 

I don’t get why these reviewers like Inherent Vice so much.  Its such a garbage movie that goes nowhere and is impossibly slow and boring.  Its the ultimate in pretentiousness to give that movie high marks.  Its his absolute worst in my opionin. 

Yeah CK was a really hard one, because so much of his comedy was about supposedly breaking down walls in terms of how we regard others (that scene in his show where he attempts to reassure a woman by saying she’s “not fat” and provokes a whole discourse on body image is still pretty powerful), but it was all pretense,…

I remain absolutely gobsmacked that judges in your country can openly (and proudly!) proclaim that they actually consulted jeezus for legal advice, and still keep their jobs.

Look, guys, he prayed on it. I mean, if you can’t trust the voice of the invisible sky god who speaks only to you where no one else can hear, who can you trust? Psychiatrists? Traumatized victims?
