I find Glover to be extremely charming and talented. I’d watch him paint stairwells as long as he offered running commentary.

Represents it pretty well to me, signed an actual Atlanta resident.
Ok, now you guys sound like crusty old white men on twitter...
If you look back at the second episode, Alfred was given a court date for the charges. From the perceived timeline, that date hasn’t been reached yet on the show. Also, there really isn’t a case because there was no victim as stated by Paper Boi. I’m sure the drama for next season will have to do with the guy he shot…
Ehh, I’ve really enjoyed it and I look forward to seeing where it goes. Your analysis isn’t wrong, but I would still rather watch Atlanta than the laugh tracked garbage the big networks seem to be heading back into.
Or, it’s just the first season of a very promising series.
Nah.
I don’t get all the hate for BvS. I only saw the Ultimate version (I did not see the Theatrical version) and found it to be a pretty good telling of a story. Not sure what was cut for the theatrical version, but maybe that was what made the difference.
I usually agree with Snyder’s moments vs Scenes, but not with Batman v Superman, even X-Men Apocalypse is way guiltier of building moments with little addition to story.
The whole problem with this is the MOVIE DIDN’T SUCK. It was just “OK”. I wasn’t mad I saw it, but I wasn’t happy either. The Ultimate edition was a lot better with the cut scenes that explained a lot of things, but over all, it was a milquetoast action movie.
I get it though- hyperbole gets clicks, so carry on...
you know what the oddest thing about civil war was? they spend like 2 minutes discussing the UN’s deal and then Captain America (the righteous one) goes about causing chaos and destruction while getting his friends and innocents hurt. The very thing that got them all into trouble in the first place.
Yeah I didn’t like Civil War either.
What do things have to do with personality? The Flash works as a Superman stand-in without departing from the source material because The Flash and Superman have very similar personalities. Classic Green Arrow is funny, mostly jovial, generally happy. Not traits usually associated with Batman. Oliver was altered A LOT…
You mean the 75 years of character history where he has actually killed people before, which includes Zod from a parallel Earth (Superman #22)?
he doesn’t owe you one. do you go around asking for apologies from every musician, artist, writer etc... whose work you didn’t enjoy? but you’re free to critique and express your discontent.
why does it have to? just because it has been done one way for 75 years means we can’t touch it or take it in new directions.
Right? Spot on.
The sad thing is? The creative vision matches up with exactly what happens in comics but is largely ignored or glossed over if its not a core plot point.
Yeah. This isn’t something that just didn’t really work like trek 2. It was a creative decision that people didn’t like. You can not like it, but that’s a big difference than it being actually bad.
so now we ask people to apologise for their creative vision because it doesn’t match up with the bespoke comic fan’s expectations?
