Considering Sony is skipping Gamescom this year, I expected much more for them to share during E3 than what we actually got which is disappointing to me personally. TGS will make up for it.

I don't know if this is sarcasm or not, but you did say cell phone. That is the number one thing that phone should be able to do. If not, why have a cell phone and just go with a lte enabled tablet.

Do you have a more recent update to your essential Windows Phone apps? The one link looks to be 29 Feb but not entirely sure what year or if it was even this year.
I would say, because the feature is promised and instead of using a separate device to just keep what you already have .
I don't think that would be sound strategy. If that was the case, then why put in any effort to develop an app until MSFT pays me to. Afterwards they would have to continuously pay for app updates possibly, or pay because of certain download amounts, etc. I can see that going down a tricky path.
I'm not sure if it would still effect consoles now than those released day one but I thought like the Xbox One, the Ps4 had a day one download to allow playing of games? I don't really recall, a year is a long time.
I think it is. It seems that way. I really hope not but I feel wrong about this.
I wonder if you can apply this to Windows Phone devices with NFC. The possibilities. However Windows Phone does have Wi-Fi Sense which can share the network with friends without providing the password, but it does limit it to those who use Wi-Fi Sense as well.
Hopefully new alien enemy types as well. I feel as though with what came with the game is somewhat lacking. I mean as a universe being invaded by other beings, four/five is the most you could come up with?
I thought with the hype of No Man Sky and the amount of planets which would have been explorable there that Destiny would have more planets to explore or at least most of are Solar System as a minimum.
It seems as though a lot of the newer AAA games are being built in a way to rely on some kind of online always component.
Hopefully you bought other games with the PS4 to help ease the disappointment this game might have been to you. Terrible if this was the game to get you to jump to current gen and leave you this way.
Does clicking the address not take you to the default Apple maps in your phone? Also does iOS 8 allow you to set default apps for actions such as if you press the camera button it opens VSCO cam?
Well the live tile widgets you can resize/remove/add for your homescreen would be the customization they speak of.
To answer your last bit about the incompatible apps "So this app runs on Windows 8 but not Windows 8 RT or Phone, this runs on RT and 8 but not phone and this app runs on all of them." Universal Windows apps is suppose to take care of that fragmented problem.
If I had to guess, looking up reasons for why not to publish an app for WP.
I would encourage using other tech sites for WinPhone news, specifically wpcentral.com Nothing against Gizmodo but the apparent lack of coverage of Windows apps during this weekly favourite release is evident this is not the place to look.
To be honest, it seems as though just a phone alone without the gimmicks it is an okay looking phone and does a commendable job. Also when you add the free year of Amazon Prime that you get with the device and you are someone entrenched in the Amazon ecosystem it is an all around positive.
