Good point - this is something the inventor addressed after testing.

A 911 convertible is the perfect beach car. If I lean the passenger seat back, I can even fit my surfboard inside with the top closed (comes in handy when a Florida flash storm hits on the highway). It makes the drive to the beach almost as fun as the beach itself.

Genuinely asking, why do you think he isn’t a talented racing driver? From the races he’s completed (and his performance compared to undeniably-talented professional racers), he seems like a pretty talented racer to me.

I know where you’re coming from on the Miata. I love the power of my 996, especially on the highway, but the Miata puts more of a smile on my face for 90% of in-town driving. The 996 is an amazing and comfortable sports car, but I find my NA Miata to be much more engaging to drive.

Completely agree - sure, it’s not air cooled, but it’ll still put a smile on your face. 90% of the fun of the 993s for 50% the price.
