Don’t forget Iggy Azalea! We will always hate her with a fiery rage.

I’m confused though—thought this applied only to non-school-sponsored Harvard groups? Aka if they have the school’s approval they’d be fine?
I just read that whole Jen Garner article because I’m trying to procrastinate on this lovely Friday—I fucking love her. I loved her in Alias. I think she doesn’t have the most discriminating taste in movie roles...But she seems like such a sweetheart.
YUP. And the few times I’ve interviewed them in person the responses are such train wrecks that they have to be edited to shit to make any fucking sense.
I’m sorry, but whenever anyone pulls the “I’m not a feminist, I’m a humanist!” thing I just tune out. It’s not because you’re “not into labels,” it’s because you’re being a pussy and are afraid that you’ll alienate some part of your fan base. It’s a canned answer you can throw out there that is supposed to keep both…

Wait, don’t you mean, “Used Marketing?”
Also, although the women at Harvard are probably more privileged than you, many of them are not the stereotype due to the school trying REALLY hard to balance their student body. I was one of many women (and men) I knew who were from low—> middle income families and got a free ride. There was a girl of color in my…
In all of my club experiences luckily the guys were WAYYYYY too hammered to even make it to kissing.
I’m not sure how, but Harvard did force one of them to close back in the 80s or 90s after someone died at a party. Otherwise, yeah. They could probably use their strong influence in the area, especially in terms of real estate, to box them out? The clubs are like the only buildings in a 5 mile radius that Harvard…
They haven’t been disbanded—except for I think one, in the 80s 0r 90s, after someone died. Harvard kind of turns a blind eye as the clubs are not officially affiliated with the organization, and they meet in houses that they’ve owned for decades (not school property).
Uh. No. They want be a member because only the hottest or most popular people get invites to them. They want to go to them on weekends because it’s one of the only on-campus places to wear a cute dress and dance.
The most difficult thing about this is that Final Clubs are a HUGE part of the social scene at Harvard—the only parties that aren’t at these clubs are small, in-dorm affairs or club-sanctioned, lame things that charge a cover (think “Spring Formal”). Because almost no one lives off-campus (partly because rent in the…
Is that state-by-state now? I think in my home state of Minnesota it is a thing.
