Sounds about right for me too. I don’t have any SPECIFIC memory but my NBA awareness started right before the Bulls won their first championship. I went to a Bulls game with my dad in 1991, but I remember that I was already excited about it so clearly I had some awareness before that, just not any specific memories.

This is my fear. I’m looking to trade in my ‘09 Outback XT later this year for something new, but every time I’ve driven a new Outback Limited as a dealer loaner I’ve been underwhelmed. I like Subaru and I like the dealer, and I would like to stick with them...but I don’t think that will happen.

Alltrack is WAY smaller and feels significantly further “downmarket.”

It’s definitely lower than an Outback. It’s noticeably carlike when getting in and out, and does not feel raised at all (though the specs suggest it is actually slightly raised). Sitting in it feels more “sport sedan” than “crossover” as far as driving position.

I am neither fancy nor regular Kristen, but I sat in one during the Chicago Auto Show media days last week. As the current owner of an Outback who is looking to possibly replace said Outback later this year, these were my brief impressions:
