“yes, our next car is going to charge 0-100% in 2 minutes, have 10000 miles of range while towing two boats, with 9 people onboard, and cost only $20,000. we ask that you give us a deposit of $1000, and it will delver next month.” - Mlon Eusk.

ford wants the appearance of a well engineered product, not a well engineered product. doing the right thing is too expensive.

Wants: Weird, unique, preferably European

The correct answer to these questions is always Flex or Miata. In this case its Flex. My wife has a Limited Flex with the engine mentioned & she loves flooring it on onramps & saying “Wheeeee” and she is NOT a car gal. I’m not gonna lie this toaster hustles & is comfy as F to ride in. 10/10 recommend

Yeah, it’s quite expensive.  This and the AMG wagon look like so much fun and then you see the price tag.  If they only offered the RS3 with a hatch, it would be  like a mini version of this thing for half the price.

I usually do the same thing. It seems like all the cars nowadays are out of reach of middle class (even upper middle class).

ctrl+f, $

ah well never mind

Jesus, that car is gorgeous.

If only they had a version thats half the price and even then 60K is so much for a car

this wagon weighs a not-insubstantial 4,982 pounds

FIFY

you can call it luxury but.....

You mean to tell me that selling non-luxury cars at luxury car prices nets more profit?

Lemme start it:  Automatic trans in an E30 is a critical failure.

George Carlin had a such a deep understanding of the human condition.

There is 1 CTR on cargurus for $65k. Please show me the tons of listings you know of. I would like one for msrp or near that.

Having sold on there - they’ll argue with you, but at the end of the day, it’s your car - they’ll let you list it for whatever you wish to list it for.  They’ll just probably laugh at you from the other end of their computer whilst doing so.

“Call for Price”  No way that is going for MSRP.

This is the car you try to flip. Not the one you paid post-flip money for.
