They should charge massive amounts more for inefficient cars like this.  the 420hp version gets 19 highway and this will likely get 15-16.  driving gas guzzling cars like this make fuel shortages worse and have a larger impact on the environment so a tax should be charged to help offset the damage they do, because the

How insulting. I even included a quote in my tailor made reply to this newest bit of idiocracy on wheels.

Half of the US senate is over 70. Half. 1/4 is over 80. They give absolutely zero fucks about anything. Like 50 members of congress are over 70. I think close to half are over 60. They have no fucks to give about the future either. So no no they dont.

though one engineer did say “It’s not miles per gallon, it’s smiles per gallon.”

It looks so much better in red,

The Venn diagram of people who like the Escalade and think blacked out vehicles are cool are almost a circle.

As for fuel economy, expect bad news. GM engineers wouldn’t disclose numbers just yet, though one engineer did say “It’s not miles per gallon, it’s smiles per gallon.” Translation: It’s not pretty. Then again, this is a three-ton-plus SUV

Everyone already knows you’re a badass, you’re driving a Viper!

If he was on I-10 between Palm Springs and LA, that’s only 13mph above the posted 70mph speed limit. That’s not unusual for traffic in that area.

Every critical control function in the model 3 / Y and refresh S / X are fully redundant. There are two computers, two power steering controllers, etc... Even duplicate wiring.

I did look at the video. He was completely in control of the vehicle. There’s just no display of the speed. He wasn’t stuck at 83 mph. The display was stuck at 83 mph.

Yeah, this story is nonsense. The screen is independent from critical driving functions. The hazards, turn signals, etc. all continue working, even with the screen totally off. You just don’t get any indication in the car that they are on. Even autopilot will continue to run without the screen. I’ve rebooted the
