While I only sorta agree with your ‘policies don’t matter’ conclusion, the Democratic Party would do well to find a more ‘relatable’ candidate next time. If the electorate can’t relate with a candidate, then their policies have zero chance to resonate with them.

She is pulling out all the stops and doing so much else that First Ladies haven’t ever done, so why not? The entire country has seen her naked so a tasteful nude cover of Vogue wouldn’t be surprising. It would probably be the least offensive thing she does during her tenure.
