Ugh yes, I agree on all accounts. The 1996 scenes just take you completely out of the story. I don’t think Stuart did a good job. And neither did Paxton. The granddaughter was ok, but I don’t think she really knew why she was there either.

The only reason I could see for her waiting to use it was so that Cal wouldn’t know she was alive. Because if the diamond had turned up in an auction or something, he would definitely have found out.

YOU GUYS! Barely doing your work is making me really sad. There will be such a void in my life if you go away. I’ve been barely doing my work for weeks, though, and I don’t even have a good excuse. Maybe this is a sign. I should get back to work.

One of the kids on my in-law’s side of the family was THE TOP marine recruit in his region. Best test scores, best performance, everyone wanted him. But he got passed over for two years straight because they were ONLY taking women and minorities at time.
