Were games disqualified? Because THIS nutjob shouldn't be anywhere near a giant robot with more than two working parts if you value the life of everyone in a 30 mile radius.

No major international company actually gives a shit about moral, human rights issues. None. They may SAY they do, for publicity purposes or do some half-assed gesture towards ot, but the underlying goal or motivational factor is, and always will be: money.
It's their persecution complex and they would tell you it's because they fear for their life if their names were exposed. The irony of those claims is sadly lost on them.
They're honestly not AS bad as some people (myself included) make them out to be, and I say that as a regular over there, (Kotaku, Gawker and Jez are "my jams" as The Kids these days say) It's just the ones that ARE bad are above and beyond bad, so it makes them look worse than they are.
Double Fine ran into this exact same problem with Broken Age. With no Evil Publisher cracking the whip over their heads, they were free to let all of their design ideas just run wild and unchecked by things like deadlines or budgets, and then all of a sudden all that money they were flush with just vanished.
Mmmmm, can you taste that Design Creep? Tastes so good....
Probably so the mother can sit there and listen as her son recounts the mental steps in his head about exactly why he thinks it's okay to visit rape upon another woman.
Brilliantly stated!
I simultaneously want and don't want this to get crossposted to Kotaku. Like, I WANT those children to see this, but I also DON'T want GamerGate to burn her house down...
Exploratory surgery is done when actively attempting to help an animal because normal diagnosis has failed, and humans are capable of voicing their consent and understanding what they are signing up for. Unless you're talking about classroom "Here's a frog/bunny/animal let's kill it and play around inside" then yeah…
It is impossible to inflict pain on a creature capable of feeling pain due to your sense of curiosity and consider the act thereof to be "decent" or "careful," and that you use "excessive cruelty" is an acknowledgment that the practice is inherently cruel at it's base level.
Taking a more philosophical stance, I find the use of the words "necessary evil" (emphasis mine) and "humane" in the same sentence to be hypocritical. If something is evil, it cannot be considerate or humane. If something is considerate and humane, it cannot be evil.
I would prefer consistency in our moralizing. …
I read that as "The Full Proof Guide to Banging Your Family" and thought to myself 'well...everyone always has at least ONE Hot Cousin...'
Dude's probably getting a fucking book deal in a few years too.
I understand that Apologists will run down their usual excuses for things like this happening but frankly none of what they say are valid excuses.
So another person who was morally and justifiably correct admits, forever on record, to being wrong in order for the Status Quo to remain unshaken.
If you need me, I'll be finishing off all the alcohol in my house.
"Once again, you're trying to use these cases to prove that all gun owners are eventually going to kill people to push your political agenda, instead of staying objective and examining the facts."
No, I'm not. Again, Responsible Gun Owners have never killed or hurt a single innocent person. Fact.
Well she was, technically. She did all the Responsible Gun Owner thing: She followed the background check procedure, she legally purchased the firearm, patiently followed waiting period protocol...
Of course not, she was waving the gun around and being irresponsible. That's what I'm saying, only Irresponsible Gun Owners have accidents. That's why the track record of Responsible Gun Owners is 100% flawless.
I'm going to throw this out there every single time I hear of people in the industry being jerked around, forced to work 70+ hours a week, and constantly being fired after successful completion of a product. *YOU DO NOT DESERVE TO BE TREATED THIS WAY* stop thinking this about yourselves, and about your industry. …
