All current gen systems are attached to the flat screen in the family room (PS3/360/Wii).

Ive found a 1080p 27'' monitor to be optimal for my needs. Gives me all the screen space I want and games look great on it.

But thats just the point. For my $36 a year I get pandora on all those devices and access to their website. For my $10 a month I get Netflix on all those devices plus access to their website.
