They aren’t being deceptive, grades are typically measured in percent and not degrees. 40% is pretty steep. As a fun fact the steepest public road in the U.S is 37% for a 20 ft stretch of a street in PA.
That makes sense on paper, but my wife and I are where we can afford to pay cash for car purchases and prefer to just not have debt. It just simplifies life to have your home and car payed for.
My wife had a 2006 civic hybrid that advertised you could drive in all electric mode in limited circumstances. I think i was able to get it to do it just once for like 50 ft. Under 20 mph, slight downhill, engine at operating temp, fully charged battery, slight throttle, etc...
Some people just want to watch the world burn.
In my experience you are correct about the drive bits, but things like switches and wiring harnesses are what starts to deteriorate. My 7 year old BMW wagon’s sunroof switch but the dust in year 6, and of course is $1k to replace as it is a “module” that controls 9 other things.
Didn’t you see above? They will just migrate to someplace where they can use tax shelters. Pay attention!
Can I interest you on a 9 year loan?
Dope project for sure, but “2” polyurethane strut spacers”... won’t this spell trouble down the road for the drivetrain/half shafts? Probably rides like a brick.
I think it already is a wagon. I can’t believe more isn’t being made about this.
Yes, too many people here dwell on power and numbers. When I look at the cars I have owned the past 30 years, the most fun I had was driving my 85 Civic Si in college (89 hp) and the new Integra GS-R I replaced it with after college (165 hp). They were light, toss-able, engaging and fun to shift through the…
You misspelled wagon. This is a 500+ hp electric wagon. The article buried the lead.
Oddly I think they look strange in photos but much better in real life. Overall form is nice, they just need to remove some of the fake vents and arbitrary lines and clean it up a bit.
Yes but the weight difference between the Taycan and Panamera is more like 3-400 lbs which is more apples to apples.
Accord V6 and GTI both do 0-60 in the mid 5’s. Accord has more power, but the GTI is lighter and has better transmissions. Also the GTI has more torque.
300 hp at this weight/size is absolutely plenty. Unless you track.
Look at Audi Allroads or BMW 330i wagons. Both essentially stretched AWD hot hatches with improved family abilities. BMW stopped selling the wagon in the market two years ago but you can find them CPO.
So how do dealers tell who is a moron?
Confirmed. My 328i wagon is the exact same length as the 328i sedan. Of course like any proper German car maker, they design the wagon first and then do a sedan conversion.
RAV 4 is the best selling SUV in the USA and the Camry is the best selling Sedan. Soccer moms must not be too turned off yet.
