Plenty of other automotive sites that will be a safer space for you.

Yep, the comment section is why I stay. I don’t know why other sites can’t mimick the special sauce of the Jalopnik comment section... but they can’t.  The politics doesn’t bother me..... Jalopnik has never “stuck to cars”... but they have lost some great writers.

They don’t move the needle, and don’t typically buy new cars.

I was under the impression that with a Cobb Accessport one could install safe tunes, or really go wild and screw things up with custom mapping or third party tunes. Is this not the case?

Yeah, the Cobb sticker is definite evidence of a flash tune, which always adds heat and stress to an engine, sacrificing long term reliability..... regardless of what tuners on internet forums will claim.

I agree with your CP assessment here, but why is a sporty wagon hard to understand?  Do you understand the notion of a sporty 4 door sedan?

Ford Transit Connect Cargo version and Ram Promaster City both start at $24k and are better cargo vehicles than a Dodge minivan.

People definitely didn’t want to pay anything to roll the dice just one more time.

Model 3 tests say they are a lot of fun.... not appliance like......   and Lotus doesn’t make 4 door sedans.

You know that ladder frames are also made from sheet metal, right?   And it comes in different thicknesses.   Key portions of unibody frames often resemble ladder frames.

To be fair, it doesn’t look terrible in black only because there is less contrast between the paint and plastic panels, the lines of which are a design travesty.

The 2000 S2000 made. 234 hp at 8300 rpm and made wonderful noises to its 9000 rpm redline.   The 2.5 in the 2000 Impreza made around 165 hp at 5500 rpm.   I wouldn’t call the 2.5 a dog, but most would prefer the Honda engine.

No idea, but in the United States, Apple is still the #1 phone seller.

That may never happen.  Have you priced 25 year old RS2’s lately?

It had 90 hp, and no joke did 0-60 in 19.7 seconds. My BMW wagon weighs the same, gets over 30 mpg, gets to 60 mph 400% faster and my passengers would survive most crashes. I’ll take the modest increase in mileage.

Best part is per the advertising it comes as a MANUAL.   And Brown wagon !

And it must be viewed via a CRT tv to really enjoy it in its pure form.

At least joists are designed to carry a vertical live load, like snow... and are typically over designed.

Because British engineering?

This.  Trees are routinely toppled by things like wind and ice.   Would never occur to me to use one for a crane.
