Yes, but it has smaller wheels, lighter duty suspension bits, an open top, far less chassis stiffness, etc....   Structural rigidity is a big one when you double the horsepower of a vehicle, and that adds weight.

Innocent until proven guilty. Police are not the judge and jury. George Floyd being high on drugs is not relevant to him being suffocated for 8 minutes. Go to any college campus in America... and you will find thousands of people with misdemeanor amounts of illegal substances.

Go to YouTube and listen to clips of its exhaust sound.  It is just fine and sounds much better than the modern 911.  Experience and visceral feel is what really matters.

Is it though?   They both weigh the same and the Lotus is more powerful.

A similarly priced base 911 weighs 300-400 lbs more and has less power.   A C8 Corvette weighs like 3650 lbs.    3100 lbs is pretty good for a modern mass produced car meeting 2020 safety regulations.  Sure a Miata is light, but drop in a heavier 400 hp engine and it will flop all over the place.

We have bought two cars from them, a Lexus Hybrid hatchback and the BMW wagon.  Both were within a few hundred dollars of dealerships for similar cars.   The trade off is the nationwide network to help you locate the exact car you want and the painless transaction.  In and out in 30 minutes both times since we did not

Yep, no hyperbole at all in that statement.

Yep. Pretty good.  Not BMW good.  All depends on what you are looking for.

This is essentially a BMW which means a step up in materials, fit and finish, etc. You may not appreciate it, but it is a significant factor for many. It isn’t all about numbers. This may compete more with Caymens and the like I’ve driven new Mustangs and new BMW’s and they are very different places spend time.

Keep in mind that German engines tend to be fairly significantly under rated from the factory, much more so than Japanese engines. Most dyno tests for the BMW 2.0 turbo put them at over 300 hp at the crank.  Also tons of tunes available for these BMW engines.  Will take awhile for the aftermarket to catchup in the

Carmax can be hit or miss depending on what you are selling.  I recently sold my 2015 GTI with 65,000 miles to them.  KBB/Edmunds, etc put the value between 10 and $12k.   I was expecting a low offer and they payed me $13,500.  Also zero hassle.

People like to knock on Carmax, but it can be a great place to sell a car. Good place to buy from them too if you are trying to track down a certain used car as they will ship all over for free or a small fee I bought my BMW wagon from them and it was great. Not a lot of options out there when looking for lightly us

I sold my 2015 GTI to Carmax last year and when I handed them my meticulous maintenance log binder they just laughed and said they throw that stuff out.  I part of me died inside.  They gave me a great price on the car, so maybe it was good for something.

Sounds like you bought the wrong VW.  MK7 GTI/Golf is extremely easy to service.  Oil filter can be changed in a minute as it is upside down pointing up in the engine bay.   I used an oil extractor when I had one and was able to change the oil and filter in 20 minutes without getting my hands dirty.

Your 1.25 million number is worldwide. About 36,000 people die in the USA annually due to car accidents.... or around 100 per day. This is considered a high number and used to be twice as high, but we have mandates seatbelts, airbags, crumple zones, etc... for good reason.

Is that even possible with a unibody sports car?

I only put the cross bars on my BMW wagon when I am actually using them. Amazing the added noise and mileage hit those create. I am closer to a 3 mpg loss.  What is crazy is that when I install my big Yakima Skybox my mileage only drops an extra 1 mpg over the bars alone.

Maybe he bikes or skis?   That kind removes in minutes though so would have been better for the photos without.

I was frustrated for years with Kinja on my iPad but have been using the Edge browser with it lately with ad blocker turned n and it is smooth sailing.

I recently sold my 2015 GTI... only because I needed more space and traded it for a 328i wagon... and I get that some say it is overhyped. The thing about the GTI is that it just does everything very competently, and not necessarily one ore two things brilliantly. It families, gets good mileage, is fun to drive, has
