Sure, but it is still a 17 year old German car for over $20k. At that age, wiring, plastics, etc... all start to degrade.  The engine might run great, but for $20k, you don’t want to be nickel and dimed with broken/worn switches and assorted electronic maladies.  Acceptable for $5-$10k but not at this price.

So much this.   Really speaks to the character of the seller.   As always - buy the seller.

Yes, we are at least mostly on the same page. I design hospitals for a living and hate seeing how much profit there is at the expense of keeping people sick. Insurance companies, pharmaceutical industry, etc..... not much motivation in the system to actually get people back on their feet as the profits are in

I’m afraid Bloomberg is just a lib version of Trump.

This I agree with.   The Democratic Party had 4 years to get their shit together and now this.   I’m not surprised.

You can honestly say it wasn’t broken before? It sucked before with double digit rate increases every year. I was a business owner before and still am and every year we try to wrestle with how much to pass along to our employees. Our cost increases have not changed much with the act. Affordable care act isn’t great

You just posted charts showing a steady rise in the SP500 since 2009 (at pretty much the same angle) and a steady fall in unemployment since 2009. 7 of those steady growth years were under Obama with Trump coming in the last 3 when the charts start showing more volatility.  I’m not seeing the Obama stagnation you

Are they though? There are lots of alternatives to an AWD Subaru sedan now..... AWD midsize cars in 2020 include the Fusion, Genesis G70, Altima, A4/A3, Charger, 330i, Chrysler 300, VW Arteon, IS300, Mazda 3, Kia Stinger, Mercedes A/C Class, Ford Taurus, Volvo S60, Infiniti Q50.... That is a lot of options in a dying

Full AWD only engages momentarily when the front wheels slip and it happens automatically.... and then it goes back to FWD once traction is regained so it would be nearly impossible to gauge the impact of “AWD mode” on mileage. You would have to keep the car in a permanent low traction situation, which in itself would

He came here from the headline to “own libs” with the facts he learned from Facebook memes.   He isn’t going to listen to your fake news propaganda from the commie institution the EPA.

Not surprised if it is either heading south of the border or in a shipping container but I wish spike the best.   Enjoy the podcast.  Maybe it was just taken by joyriders.

Yes.  I spent two months traveling in Europe in college with 4 days clothes, a clothesline and a bottle of woolite.  I soaked my previous days clothes in the sink while I showered each day and hung them to dry.

Also same with drivers.  Everybody is sure the adjacent states drivers are the worst.

Germans always underrate, but not by 50 hp.  This new version probably has 400 hp.

I have an F31 328i wagon and concur. Great transmission. Engine has decent performance characteristics.... especially with a light tune... but the combo lacks soul.... and doesn’t sound great. Granted this lighter Supra will weigh 500-600 lbs less than my BMW and they could make it sound better and rev a bit more

Hybrids seem complex due to having both ICE and electric but the reality is that they are super low maintenance. We bought a Civic Hybrid new in 2006 for my wife’s long commute. She drove it for 150k miles and then passed it down to our son who is still driving it at well over 200k miles. We did have to replace the

I just spent $900 servicing my 5 year old German ICE car replacing consumables like fluids, spark plugs and its fancy AGM battery at its 65k mike service.  Gas cars have a lot of expenses that electric cars don’t have, so the occasional battery expense might not be so bad.

Yes this. Suddenly people are all up in arms about the environmental when it comes to Cobalt mining and EV, never mind the impacts of deforestation, plastics, animal farming, global warming, etc which we are all complicit in.
