Not all of us equate larger with better. Very much the American mindset though.

The hood line misses the A panel by 1”
But remember, the vast majority of owners will charge in their driveway or garage overnight... or at work as employers add stations. Super chargers will continue to primarily be for the occasional road trips.
I grew up in a very rural Indiana county. County had less than 8,000 residents. Most people I knew had very short commutes. Either in my local town, or one of the nearby towns ranging from 15-20 miles away. People tended to be teachers, factory workers, construction workers, farmers, work at the local hospital…
I think he did explain the windows. The skin is much more highly stressed than in a normal unibody vehicle, so the glass will see some stress as well. Thick laminated glass can deform more without shattering.
I’m assuming they are indeed test rims.
The sides of all modern truck beds are above my shoulder and usually at my cars roofline. Even with the haunches. This truck looks lower.
“don’t need a truck, but want that “manly” impression to own a truck.”
Counterpoint, I have owned two modern VW’s that were fine. The brand has made great strides in the past 10-15 years.
Chilling indeed.
Find a used 328d Wagon. They are about there.
Yes. Easily Pathfinder. You beat me to it.
I get it, but it isn’t your money, so live and let live. The GTI and many other cars can be truly enjoyed with or without a manual and the transmission choice certainly doesn’t define the experience. When I was younger I hooned the hell out of my 85 Civic Si manual and my manual 99 Integra GS-R. I had just as much…
I was simply responding to another fella’s comment about how great the ZF-8 transmission was. Definitely did not refer to the DCT as a manual. Apologies for offending your sensibilities with my car transmission choice. I drove a manual for a long time but my current life circumstances require certain compromises…
Yep. Recently traded a GTI with a DCT for a 328i wagon. Was initially saddened to lose the lightning quick dual clutch, however have come to appreciate the ZF8. It is buttery smooth in comfort mode, but totally changes character in sport + and can imitate the DCT pretty well. Much smoother in traffic.
They own a larger stake than any other shareholder, which is often referred to as the Majority stake.
Too soon?
People born in the early/mid 60’s are in their mid to late 50’s. Not exactly one foot in the grave.
That is too bad. Didn’t realize they were all going that way. I suppose it helps mileage a lot though.
