This is actually a non-issue in the Japanese version because for “Confirm” and “Back” in all menus, X and O are swapped. You can jump in many more places than you can attack, so it’s much easier to Do the Thing with O than it is with X. But switching those between Japan and everywhere else is a problematic practice
