You cray cray, too. But it's cool.
So, over the course of 4.5 billion years, mass extinction went down 5 times, and we gotta change our ways before the 6th one hits? You cray cray.
Nah, not drunk. Just busy perpetuating the same old tiresome auto/manual debate like most of the rest of the automotive press. Meh.
Jeebus. This thing is growing on me. :-o
I was 21 (in ‘81) when I bought myself a ‘78 Jeep CJ5. It was pretty cool. Renegade with the Levi’s pkg, the straight six / granny 4-speed, bright yellow. But I digress. Anyway, had a great beefy roll bar, so with the top removed, a number of interesting options present themselves to an amorous couple. A mobile jungle…
I saw that thing run on an airstrip. Trust me, one has to see it in person to grasp the lunacy of it all!
What a bunch of hooey.
Talk about a convoluted read. I almost made it to the paragraph about the Fender stereo before giving up.
Spent a lotta time checking this old peach out in the flesh. A real time capsule.
This! ^
Wonder when the NYT is going to investigate Media Matters? Rhetorical question, of course.
Same thing thing that’ll eventually happen to modern day apocalyptic proclamations.
I’ve been aboard her a couple of times (in Norfolk). So much history. Really cool to have the opportunity to speak with a couple of old sailors who served on her the last time I was there. They were stationed in a few places on the ship and would happily discuss its in & outs.

Awesome pic!
That part was news me, but given their complexity and capability, it should’ve been obvious. High performance contraptions require high performance fiddling!
When you’re done yelling at the crumb crunchers on your lawn, please come back to weigh in on some more topics that you don’t care about. Thanks!
What a great article. Particularly interesting (for me) was the notion of “air spares”. Such redundancy obviously makes sense when available, but details like this always serve to remind me of just how incredibly organized/planned the military’s logistics are.
It's been mentioned a million times. No one here cares. It's all results in the headlines and leading pic, or nothing.
