I don’t think Elon and Steve spoke. An anecdote Elon shared- Larry (Google) who is Elon’s friend took him to meet Steve in a party. Elon was relative non-entity at the time, while Jobs a behemoth. Steve rudely brushed them off.

While rest of your arguments may have merit, it doesn’t matter if you are not convinced if “lifetime EV footprint” better. This has been conclusively proven by many different studies.

Range...Tesla has the best efficiency and range out of any EV makers. So maybe their engineers know better about range than you?

Design is futuristic....so it is simply jarring sensibilities of many here. However once the design grows on you, people will love it.

Let’s not even “talk” about business model. ICE business model is based on carbon being priced at ‘0’. So they can leave the cost of environmental disaster to future generations...which is in trillions of $ (as calculated by UN).

LOLZ. Tesla “sued” TopGear for misinformation....and TopGear defended in “court” saying they never “claim” to be accurate. They never denied the material of Tesla’s accusations.

“Of course he is fragile enough to promise a 50hp increase because of these results.”.... This was planned long in advance and was announced in earnings call. This is second time in 2 years Tesla has improved its performance via OTA. 

Maybe understand how Tesla operates its OTA first before commenting?

So is Musk inaccurate in its statement? 

So much hate. Point is, was Musk “inaccurate”. TopGear showed engaging “Launch control” on Porsche...so why not do the same on Tesla. Highly Shady.

For people claiming they don’t care 0-60 speeds...then don’t watch the video OR comment on an article covering this.

Don’t bend yourself to much for the haters. Having watched the whole saga very closely..I agree with Musk. The disgusting behaviour of media, which has continued in this example really kills one faith in humanity.

Rivian is great, but u can’t beat Musk who has speed of a Hare & work ethic of a tortoise.
Tesla’s investment in - Superchargers, ServiceNetwork, Software platform, Autopilot, Battery cell manufacturing and automated manufacturing will increasingly show dividends in coming years.

Loool. You know that Tesla has 0 advertisement cost? Its “payments” to youTubers is peanuts compared to traditional ad spend by Big 3. In fact you can make a case that Tesla’s referral program has one of the best ROI in the industry.

No. Elon is planning a fleet of 3000+ satellites, which can eradicate any target just via “Kinetic bombardment” (throwing a piece of metal from space). 

Tesla is way overvalued compared to its revenues. So it will be very challenging for any other company to acquire it. 

Better cars? Not really but they can make equally good cars. However Tesla “may” have huge advantage due to its structure - own battery factory, Charging network & sales and service. So its competitors may find it challenging to compete without copying Tesla’s structure.
