Funny I can just barely remember Atonement, but I do recall him being a baddie. When I really noticed him was in Parade's End. Benedict, would you care to take a train ride with me? Yes, let's DO get our own private compartment.

He was WAYYYYY creepy in Atonement. So much so that I completely forgot it was him, until I recently re-watched the movie. I'm glad Sherlock and doing Alan Rickman impressions have taken the creepiness out of my memory.

Poor Toni Braxton. That is internalized Tea Party/Christian Right misogynist self-hatred right there. I hope she finds some peace and forgives herself.

I'm impressed that your coal mine has internet access!

I know some people will say that it's something she should just brush off, because clearly he didn't actually get up her skirt and his intentions were comic and she was surrounded by other people blah blah blah...

Could hashtags be any more annoying? Wait, let me rephrase that. #CouldHashtagsBeAnymoreAnnoying

And that is precisely why the good lord invented green slime...

"Hey Jeremy? Can you tell us what Tara did yesterday?"

She didn't just discover that racism exists. She just realized that even though she's in a position of privilege that she can't shove prejudice to someone else and make it "their problem". She's taking up the fight to help her fellow humans. That's something most white people decide at one point or another. Usually

I think it's difficult for most people to admit their ignorance the way that Kim Kardashian has with regard to racism. I don't understand the instinct to mock someone for this. Thinking that these issues are everyone else's problem is not actually that uncommon, especially for this generation. So good for her for

Disclaimer: I know next to nothing about Kim Kardashian, other than what I occasionally read here.

Taylor Holland did a one woman show as her. I unfortunately didn't see it but it looked interesting.

What? You want a war with Greenland? ;)

Likewise (on both points). I wouldn't have known I was meant to be upset about it had the internet not alerted me. Particularly since she looks like a kid, and she's not made up or sexualized at all, they're just hanging out.

That was my take away from this too. Calling a 13 year old girl a slut? You're a terrible human.

I didn't know such a documentary existed. I will have to look for it.

Is it bad that I don't really see a scandal here? From what I've read he's a close family friend, and the photo itself is pretty bland and asexual. It just looks like they were hanging out on a warm day and someone snapped a picture. Of course if it turns out they are dating I'll be grossed out and outraged like

I would respect/accept these conservative viewpoints a tiny bit more if they were not simultaneously chipping away at sex and pre/postnatal care/education, among other things.

That's really cute that he wants to wash your hair, though!
