I would too! Layovers only cause grief. Not that the airlines want to help me out with that.

I hope it does! It's really nice to read someone on the internet who is not blaming anyone else for their unhappiness and thinks that being nice is a good way to solve problems. Shit, I sound like some old codger "kids today don't take responsibility!" but I don't mean that. I mean you don't seem like you need to…
You have a great attitude. That's all I have to say.
Hasn't gotten too bad for me either, but then I usually don't bring a carry on so big it has to go in the overhead bin, so I always have access to everything and don't have to look around if the bin over my head is full. If I have a larger carry-on, I put NOTHING in it that I will need during the flight. Getting up…
God help me if I had to fly 12-15 times a year. Holy crap.
You know what airport is god awful? New Orleans. I can't understand it, because New Orleans is a super fun place and a popular convention destination, so I imagine they get a lot of business travelers. It's in the land of the freaking drive-thru daquiri, and they can't get a decent bar in their airport? It sucks so…
I recently flew Delta, and they were cray about letting people bring luggage on. They were stopping people as they were boarding and checking bags. I couldn't check mine because it had my medical supplies in it and the guy was a GIANT douche. He accused me of lying to keep my bag with me. I've never had that happen…
Virgin America is the tits. I actually look forward to flying on them. Also if you are flying coast to coast, I definitely recommend trying to upgrade to Main Cabin Select. You get unlimited free food/drinks/movies and it ends up paying for itself
Overall good points but really some of these things are not possible depending on where you are going. I'm mostly talking about the layovers/plane change one. Most airlines are cutting back on direct flights and forcing everyone to go through their shitty hubs (united I'm looking at you in Chicago).
The biggest thing is leaving yourself enough time. I know so many people who want to arrive 60 minutes before their flight leaves and just breeze through check-in and security. When than doesn't happen, they freak out. I make sure I arrive two hours before my flight and bring plenty of reading material. If I breeze…
It sounds like not much has changed since I went there 25 years ago. I lasted two years and then dropped out. I liked school but I did not like IV or the intense rape culture that existed there. Sexual assault at these party scenes was totally par for the course and if you complained about it, you were told to just…
I went to UCSB and would have loved to have lived in an oceanfront apartment in IV, but even back then I didn't feel safe down there on weekend nights. It's really a shame that a few bad actors have ruined such a beautiful place.
I heard it too! Jolie, you have a very cute, infectious laugh! And you did a great job! :-)
I heard your interview on NPR last night, you did a very good job! Congrats on the exposure too!
In a way, I feel like they may think it's too "raw" to tell the story of the girl less than two years after it happened. Also, I can see why the story of the hacker is appealing for movie makers: it's a man who goes against rape culture and the patriarchy and yet will likely serve three times the amount of jail time…
I'm with Wonkette on this one:
I see your point, MoGlo, but this could be okay. As a woman who was raped of her virginity by a high school football star, I sat back and watched the Steubenville situation play out and became totally into Deric Lostutter's every move, following his Twitter, Googling his handle every day, etc. I think I got so much…
Honestly I'm ready to see some men acting right injected into the rape narrative. Also I'm REALLY ready for rape culture to be at the center of that narrative.
"Women can oppose rape until we're blue in the face, but as long as rapists can look at other men and see indifference or active support, they're going to remain emboldened. Look, women can rescue themselves through political activism on nearly all feminist issues. Women got themselves the vote. But when it comes to…
