To be fair this is focused on the Radditz portion of the Saiyan arc in DBZ, where Launch is still around. It’s not till after Tien dies that Toriyama forgets about Launch and she disappears.

Honestly the slice of life parts of DBZ were always my favorite element, because it gave the fights so much more punch when you knew what Goku was fighting for.
