The Yakuza/LaD series have historically been relatively progressive in its depiction of female characters(and other minorities, such as trans people, or other societal topics), with the only major problem being the general lack of major female characters when compared to how many male characters there have been.

I love these games and the recent RPG turn, but the New Game+ price gating is some nasty shit that makes me not want to buy it on principle. 

I disagree here. I kind of like alot of the longer cutescenes in Yakuza so disagree with them  being boring or to long. I am not sure I agree with the pacing either. Having finished all from 0-7. 5 Having one of my favourite openings.

I love Kasuga, if he was real I would want to have a beer with him, that could never be achieved through a series of dismissible text boxes.

I’ve never touched a Max Payne game (to my detriment), but it’s so lovely to see his colleagues come out and say such things about him. I’m sure he knew he made an impact on the medium, being such an outstanding and important series. Not to mention his other accomplishments. RIP sir, reckon you’ve earned it.

Ugh. I struggled reading this. I think the author is a talented writer, and I know she wrote with the best intentions.

It’s people who lose at a game so they make up a conspiracy theory to explain it rather than just admitting they lost, it has to be the controllers fault and there has to be a vast conspiracy and cover up to explain it. 

That’s where I'm at honestly. So many common complaints about controllers just seem like misuse. 

Ive been a heavy gamer, and had every Sony console, and various 1st and 3rd party controllers over the generations, and I've never once experienced any stick drift that I can remember. MAYBE some misfiring buttons on really old controllers. 

I sincerely hope you don’t pull that annoying shit with real people in real social situations.
