This is it, by the way
I bought my phone case on Amazon, and saved the thumbnail of it to use as my wallpaper, so my phone looks the same inside and out.
Thanks, I’ll consider it for the future. I do want more than just readable. I want enjoyable. I gave the free copy to my husband, who’s more into that fantasy. We’ll see what he thinks. :)
Yeah, I have an “abandoned” list on my Goodreads account. I always list why I didn’t finish a title, like “the antagonist in this story just was too much of a jerk for me to handle” (THE SPEED OF DARK), or “.....because it’s just not my thing. But if that IS your thing, I suspect you’ll love it” (SPACE TRIPPING), or…
Interestingly enough, the free book this month in Tor’s EBook Club is the first book in the Wheel of Time series,THE EYE OF THE WORLD. Generally I prefer science fiction to this kind of fantasy, but now I’m glad I’m not starting it (though I did download it).
Thank you :)
When I was growing up, my parents and I would visit my aunt and uncle, who were about 20 years older than my parents. My aunt would make an awesome dinner, and then we’d have dessert: chocolate ice milk. (Ew.) Eating Halo Top took me right back to those days, not in a good way. Reading other comments, I’m also one who…
When my kids (in their mid to late 20s now) were much younger, they’d ask me what some word meant. While I knew what it meant and could understand it in context, I couldn’t always come up with the right words to convey that meaning to them confidently. So I started saying “look it up” (and handed them a dictionary),…
Now we know everything instantly if we want to —and why not, it’s so easy to see. But...why? unless it actually affects me..should I care?
CNN isn’t in it to push the truth. They’re in it to push ratings and viewers, which means advertising dollars.
My daughter bought a re-usable hard plastic drinking tumbler from Starbucks that has its own re-usable straw. We clean it with soap and water and this awesome brush ($2.56 and free shipping as of today), which looks like it’s too big to fit the straw, but does:
For Michelle Woo, great idea on keeping away from distraction, but I’d have such sore muscles in my writing hand by the time I was done, I think I’d rather invest in a typewriter. I also can’t write longhand as fast as I think, so by the time I wrote it out, I’d have forgotten what I’d thought of. But hey, if it works…
For some people, it isn’t obvious.
This reminds me of years ago, when my husband asked me how in the world I would fill up a 326 GB hard drive. Now I look for what I can delete from my 1TB drive! As someone else here posted with a Jeff Goldblum meme, life finds a way!

Yeah, one list is a group of friends that I’ve known for over 20 years from playing Trivia games in chat rooms on AOL. Some of the posts/links I share with them would not go over well with my very politically different family members.
Good point, though I post/like/comment so rarely that it isn’t an issue for me. Frankly, when I commented, I just posted what worked for me, hoping it might be helpful for some readers. I wasn’t suggesting it was a better idea than snoozing, just a different approach.
