If the Sand Snakes killed Myrcella, this would most likely result in the Lannisters attacking them since Cersei is incredibly unstable and would go to war with a country like Dorne for her daughter, whether it was the Martells or Sand Snakes.

Well, the end of the Lannisters really opens up that whole throne thing. ya know, to Dany or Stannis or that new religious group that's been given so much power. The Martells don't need to throw their support behind anyone, they simply need to weaken the Lannisters.

Jaime taking Myrcella would take away another one of the Lannister's allies - the Martells. It's actually a dumb move for Cersei to bring Myrcella back because the one chance they have to cement their family is Myrcella marrying into the Martells. So, that affects the politics of Westeros.
