I think they're giving the new kids too much of the spotlight. The current primary players really weren't established enough to hold things down. Wiig, Hader and their crew always outshined them.
She could get annoying, but I think the current cast makes it clear how important it is to have a performer like Wiig. She could hold down a sketch, perform her lines, nail pacing and bring personality. No one on the cast right now can create or maintain a solid recurring character like Wiig could.
