I am clearly way behind. My knowledge of the Inhumans is from the 70s, which was the period in which I was reading the most comics.

The Inhumans as in Black Bolt and co? What on earth would some hipster hacker chick have to do with them?
Actually, I think the show has gotten significantly worse after Season One.
Sorry, but I think the show has been terrible since the end of Season One/beginning of Season Two.
That’s what I thought.
Great. Give me an example of a contemporary, mega-popular pop act that is as good as or “outshines” the Rolling Stones or Beatles.
Interacting with humans in any capacity that doesn’t involve a high-tech screen is a hellish experience.
Boy, pretty mad, aren’t you. I might check my list of priorities.
Um, I did consider this. Several times. I explicitly made the point about generations.
Nonsense. There are no acts, today, of the level of popularity of a Rolling Stones or Beatles, of nearly close to the same quality.
Yes, of course we can!
Hmm, it “made sense” for some four decades longer than the current run of the reboot.
Except, as I explained to someone else, I still watch Old Who today. And yes, some things really were better. In the 60’s, pop music meant the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. Now it means Kesha and Taylor Swift.
I agree that there are plenty of fine episodes in the reboot.
Agreed. I think this has a lot to do with it.
No spectacles. I own the entire back catalog of Old Who and still watch them. Usually go through Troughton - Baker, once a year.
As I said, I suspect that much of this may be age and generation-related.
It’s also worth pointing out that they weren’t made to be binge-watched like we do now.
This is actually a good point, re: half hour versus hour.
Well, that was my point about age. The current young generation wants things superfast. That wasn’t the case when I was a kid and watching the old Who. So, no, it didn’t seem like a slog to me, then, nor does it no. Rather, the *new* Who seems hyperactive — like some ADHD kid off his meds.
