We obviously have had very different experiences.
We obviously have had very different experiences.
Certainly. It was something about the tone of the article that saddened me.
We have no disagreement.
Yes, of course. I am by no means recommending forcing people to give hugs. I've tried to clarify that in my other responses.
I certainly wasn't talking about enforced touching. But an aversion to it of the sort described in the article — unless the result of an obviously damaging experience — strikes me as dysfunctional, for the reasons mentioned. There's pretty solid science on this — i.e. on the need of mammals for touch.
I don't necessarily disagree. But I could also see it as being rather forced. The notion that I, as a young child, would not have hugged and kissed close relatives when they came over would have been bizarre in the extreme.
So....the fact that this women is setting up her children for a future full of diabetes, heart disease, cancer, and early death wasn't enough to cancel the show. But molesters! That's where we draw the line.
A few thoughts.

Can you trade with them? Say you get a loot drop that is of no use to you — can you trade it to the guy next to you?
I have put quite a few hours into this game now. A few observations:

Why can't we have police like this, as opposed to the jar-headed Marine wannabes driving tanks around Ferguson, MO?
Why wasted? Not getting that.
Why is his negative experience more indicative than that of all the people who are having a positive experience? I've read a lot more positive reviews than negative ones.
You could lower the difficulty, you know.
I believe the largest WoW raids were 40 man.
Weird comment. Don't get the Scotland point at all.
Well, if you play Fallout or Elder Scrolls games on a console instead of a PC you are missing out on the massive modding scene out there.
