Even though I have an iPhone 5, it sucks that so many devices won't have AirDrop..
It says here that AirDrop works over Wifi and Bluetooth. I get the lack of better Wifi modules on older devices, but Apple could have given us a slower version instead of nothing... :P
Best hope is that people will upgrade over time
