Pretty much every married and/or cohabitating couple I know says that exact same thing— the ultimate fantasy arrangement would be for each person to have next-door houses or apartments! You love spending fuckloads of time with each other, and you love doing many of the same things, but you like having your own space

I feel like Jezebel has been doing this case and its readers a huge disservice with their dishonest reporting when it comes to this case. It seems they are less interested in the nuances of what is actually happening here and more interested in drumming up as much outrage as possible. I get that shit like that drives

Yes, every non-lawyer loves to scream that justice delayed is justice denied. There’s only one problem with that... justice denied is justice denied.

You’re forgetting the other all too important aspect of a modern and just society: we innocent until proven guilty.

Thanks! So is the position that the court failed her not absurd? I mean we don’t know if this guy is in fact abusive. He’s never had his day in court. Also, she’s not being forced to work with her aleged abuser since Sony has allowed her to work with industry professionals other than him. Nothing about this article

Not really paternalistic.

I don’t understand... So she asked a judge to dissolve a legally binding contract based on rumors that this guy is abusive? Did she first prove in court that this guy abused her?

That system can be described many ways, but “paternalistic” it is not. It assumes that every individual is capable of being his (or her) own advocate.

According to the memo accompanying the release, this email contained information covered by attorney-client privilege in the case Welch v. Brown, an unrelated lawsuit relating to retirement benefits of city employees. This claim seems to be supported by the subject line.

Except it’s complete bullshit. There’s no known or even theorized way to “change the state” of a particle. What quantum entanglement really means is that you have two entangled particles with a property called “spin” that can be either up or down. Up until the point that you actually measure it, the spin of a particle

While it pretty much goes w/o saying that creating and sharing such a picture was cruel and scummy, you didn’t actually anywhere attempt to address the argument of the picture. Because it IS making an argument.

in a round-about way you are commenting on the picture as the entire discussion revolves around it.

This article inspired me to really hit the gym hard tomorrow.

Yeah because women never........never criticize other women.

Without a known cause, I would be alarmed if someone I knew gained so much [apparent] weight so quickly at such a young age. That you lost another 30 in the past year rings alarm bells about weight and health.

Well she made a whole article about it and admitted to trying to track him down for hours so she probably spent just as much time as he did.

that statement from valve is so goddamn shitty. they’re acting like strangers being able to see stuff like your phone number and billing adress isn’t a big deal. just because they weren’t able to interact with your account doesn’t mean harm hasn’t been done.

Should have listened the first 20 times his roommate told him to replace the toilet paper.

No redstone = Not really that impressive.

Except here, you know, where the guy was making the stuff up.
