This is SUCH an underrated, awesome movie. Did you know it's based off a very true story (written about in Texas Monthly), and that Jack Black actually visited Bernie in jail several times to get his portrayal of him (voice, mannerisms, etc.) just right? I just found everything about the story and the movie extremely…
"It's OK, I promised her husband, before he killed himself, she'd never be alone. She hates to be alone." She shook her head, "All that crazy's just up there all the time."
This is Texas. Federal laws are for other states.
There's a big difference between smoking a pack of day and having a couple every once in a while. I'm the former and will probably never be able to be the latter—all or nothing for me—but some people can do it.

From the NPR Article "So are small burger chains like Moo Cluck Moo — which are willing to pay workers more and serve more upscale menus — going to put pressure on the giants such as McDonald's and Burger King to raise wages?
I've never understood people who don't think working employees should earn a liveable wage.
I've also never understood people who blame the lower class for economic problems. How you gonna blame a general lack of money on the people who have no money?
Nah, it's about money. The employees being downtrodden and powerless is just a bonus.
I think paying employees shit wages has more to do with power than with money. They want downtrodden demoralized and powerless employees. Even if it makes the product suffer.
